2D materials including graphene, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) and black phosphorous (BP) are a new class of materials with exceptional properties for creating potential applications in novel electronics, opto-electronics, spintronics, as well as the wearable and energy devices. Recent progress was focusing on exploiting new physical/chemical phenomenon and developing novel technologies for synthesis 2D materials and their potential applications.


  1. 2D material preparation, functionalization, and characterizations
  2. 2D-based devices integration and process technologies
  3. Fundamental Science: Theoretical as well as experimental aspects such as valleytronics, 2D phononics/Thermoelectrics, interface engineering, and heterostructures
  4. Applications: 2D material-based electronics, flexible and wearable electronics, CMOS logics/RF-device and sensors
