Scope:

“High-entropy alloys (HEAs)” has become an exciting field of materials science recently. Many types of research have conducted on high-entropy alloys and high-entropy related materials. The novel design concept allows compositions beyond the scope of traditional alloys, offering unprecedented properties and opportunities for a wide range of functional and structural applications. There are great interests from both scientific and technological points of view.

On the other hand, “Metallic glass materials (MGs)” in form of bulk and thin film have been developed and researched for more than twenty years. Although a large number of papers and patents have been presented, there are still challenges and academic issues to be solved. Wide applications are also eagerly expected in the near future.

It is interesting to note that both HEAs and MGs have the common nature of multi-component compositions. As a result, their different design concepts could be combined in developing new high-entropy metallic glasses. Furthermore, they could be linked up in the aspects of phase stability, kinetics, crystal structures, microstructures and properties, likely enriching current materials science and engineering. This symposium will offer a platform for networking, collaboration and exchange of information for the community with aims to promote the global research and progress of HEAs and MGs.
